A product and design leader who makes things happen end-to-end — strategy, design, and increasingly the build itself, with AI as the multiplier. I've led as both a Product Director and a Director of Product Design, turning ambiguous problems into shipped products from greenfield concept to global scale — most recently building Novale from zero to a working, AI-built prototype.

I took a landscape-design product from idea to a working, AI-built prototype — design system, user flows, and a live demo — leading a small cross-functional team.
Novale makes professional landscape design accessible to everyday homeowners. I used today's AI design and build tools end to end: I created the design system — brand, color, typography — in Claude and Claude Design, mapped the user flows in Figma, then built a working prototype in Claude Code that takes a homeowner's address, gathers their site details and preferences, and generates a landscape design they can edit. I led a small team to do it: a landscape architect as domain owner and an engineer to stand up the database and refine system prompts alongside me.
The honest reflection: my favorite part of any work is the team. Novale has been a real joy — I love landscape design, and proving how far a small group can get with today's AI tools was exhilarating. But it also reminded me where I do my best work: alongside a larger team, with more people to build with, sharpen my thinking, and learn from. That's the chapter I'm looking for next — bringing these sharpened AI and 0-to-1 skills back into an internal team.
Selected work
These are the puzzle pieces behind that claim — the same throughline runs through each: product strategy, hands-on design, and shipped outcomes, increasingly amplified by AI. An enterprise platform built with Apple, two AI tools for a new 500-person org, and a 0-to-1 product I designed and built myself.
Enterprise wellness platform for iOS, WatchOS, and desktop enabling individuals and their organizations to understand correlations between mental and physical health. Deployed with the San Diego Sheriff's Department, UC San Diego Health, and school administrator networks nationwide. Led a global cross-functional team of 15.
Led design and the teams across three workstreams for Concentrix's new 500-person Global Product Organization: an org-wide design system, the AI-enabled PDLC tool, and GILEs, a developer co-pilot — extracting executive vision and shipping it.
Designed a greenfield Unified Systems Management dashboard for Union Pacific Railroad — enabling real-time monitoring of all IT assets, root cause analysis, and executive-level operational visibility. Engagement extended annually; worth millions in revenue.
Created the first-ever shipper personas for FLEXE's logistics platform and redesigned the order experience to surface status and contingency data previously scattered across the product. Acted as PM in the absence of one.

Creative life
Creativity has always been how I process the world. I paint abstract and landscape pieces to understand my internal world — turning confusion into beauty. I'm currently renovating a 1929 Craftsman cottage outside Snoqualmie, and I spend as much time as possible in the Cascades.
Growing up in rural Iowa taught me that the natural world is the most honest teacher there is. Those lessons still show up in how I lead, design, and build.
